Our school is closed, leaving many children feeling isolated and missing out on the many comforts school bring. One of those comforts is the joy of reading a book, but classroom libraries, school libraries, & community libraries are closed too. Reading is an essential skill for students to develop language skills as well as comprehension. We do provide e-books, but many of our students do not have access to reliable Internet service. E-books are great, but nothing compares to curling up with a good book to bring comfort and escape to a child.
