We love to read books. Most books teach the kids a lesson. For example, bullying, sharing, being a good friend or sometimes we just read to be funny. Our class stays on the same book for a couple of days. We read it through the first day and go over new words and their meaning. The second day we review the book and discuss each page. Each student will get a chance to talk and tell the class what they thought of the book, the meaning of the book or what they remember from the book. Later in the year we will think about something that happened in the book and draw it, add details to the picture and then write a sentence about their picture.
