The materials I chose will assist my students to read and write around our classroom on a daily basis! We will often not work from the traditional tables, but will be on the couch or sitting on the floor. As we prepare our minds to explore in writing and travel to new worlds in our books, I want my kiddos to be comfortable and successful everyday! Flexible seating is proven to help students in their day to day routines at school which in turn helps them be successful! When I asked my students if they preferred chairs and tables or the floor with pillows, a majority will choose the floor. The option to CHOOSE is huge for these students as they get older and take responsibility for their learning. Please consider donating and helping create a magical, flexed out classroom for my fifth grade kiddos, next school year! Thank you, Miss Powell
