The first step in engaging students in learning is to make sure they have the supplies they need and a comfortable learning environment. Small group instruction is crucial in learning. Demonstrating what they know helps me as their teacher differentiate instruction to meet their individual needs and create strong independent readers. These notebooks will give students the supplies needed to practice and demonstrate their learning with written reflections and mini assignments. The student stools will provide a comfortable seat for kids while they engage in small group reading and writing activities and discussion with the teacher to strengthen their skills.
