The more efficient my resources are, the more effective my lessons will be for my students! The all-purpose teaching easel is perfect for our math and literacy lessons as it is a double-sided whiteboard. One side will be used for math lessons, and the other side will be used for our writing lessons because it has permanent lines on it. Right now I am running low on anchor chart paper, so this easel will be a tree-saving game changer! The easel will also be an accessible resource for my students who do not have Internet, but are completing work packets at home. I will be able to send them pictures of work examples I wrote on the board in class as well as walk them through whatever they need help with.
I have several visual learners in addition to my English-language learners, so placing manipulatives on the whiteboard will give them more clarity of mathematical concepts. I am currently cutting out, coloring, and taping base ten “blocks” on anchor chart paper. Already having manipulatives I can simply pop on the board would be a major time-saver, too!
