Small group instruction is vital in our classroom. Having students with various instructional needs often makes it difficult to deliver whole group instruction to meet the needs of all the students in the class. Our gifted teacher also pushes in during math instruction and we find that we struggle to use the small whiteboards at our tables to model math concepts. By donating to our project, you will not only be helping to improve instruction, but also increase student focus, which will help to increase achievement. The use of a large portable whiteboard, with chart paper, would help to deliver small group instruction in a manner that is easier for the teacher, but also, much more engaging for the students. We, as teachers, would be able to create anchor charts with students which they would later be able to refer back to when needed. We would also be able to model how to do math concepts, while at the same time maintaining the focus of students.
