Drumming materials will be a great addition to our physical education curriculum. With an emphasis on character building, cooperative activities and everyone doing their level best, our curriculum aims to build actively contributing members of 21st century society. This combination drumming and exercise project will provide an awesome and loud opportunity for kids to exercise to a rhythm, have fun, do 'their' best, not worry about being 'the' best, and pound out a great fitness routine, and maybe become a great drummer in the process! Three basic pieces of equipment will provide endless opportunities for students to learn fitness, movement patterns, and rhythm. Five gallon buckets topped with a 55cm exercise ball and a pair of drum sticks becomes our instrument for creatively combining rhythm, exercise, and imagination for awesome physical education. This project will provide the exercise balls and drum sticks.
