These headphones will help drive my students' instruction. Many of my students are home along with multiple siblings. It is very difficult to stay focused and committed to learning while they hear background noises— whether it be commotion from their siblings' Zooms, the television, or any other sounds that impede on their learning experience. The headphones will help to drown out the extra noises that prevent clear instruction for the students and allow them to pay attention without distractions. The math manipulatives will provide the students with a more hands-on approach to math that they may not have access to at home. Kinesthetic learning is a foundational part of education for young learners. These items will help to close some of the distance in "distance learning". While distance learning is difficult for anyone, it is especially difficult for young learners who are just beginning their educational journey. The headphones and math manipulatives will give the students the necessary tools to be successful during distance learning.
