This year, I get to teach an elective class for my students called "S.T.E.A.M - Makerspace". In this class we will focus on design thinking, creative problem-solving, and making things! I began an after school club last year where we established a makerspace, and students were able to explore their creativity with different weekly projects. This year, we are expanding the makerspace to an actual class during the school day! While I am thrilled the maker movement is gaining momentum and traction at my school, there is no budget for this class so all materials need to come from fundraising, and what I already have out of my own (personally bought) supplies. Please help me gather some of the most essential supplies so my students can be creative and inventive in our exciting new class!
