Leveled readers will help students practice reading on a daily basis. These books will hold their interest and challenge them appropriately. Reading independently will also help the students (and parents!) mental health during these uncertain times. I would love for my Reading Recovery students to have a variety of leveled readers to read at home! I am currently connecting with my students through online lessons, email, and phone calls. We could read the books together in an online lesson or over the phone. The student could read the book and send an email or picture through the phone about the book he/she read. I believe my students will be so grateful for these books!
