Virtual teaching consists of using Google Classrooom, Class Dojo , and recurring Zoom meetings with my students. I record and post two videos daily for my students on Class Dojo. I also hold daily zoom meetings where we discuss previous work on Google Classroom and preview the work for the day. We discuss our quote of the week and hold discussions about different topics of interest. Having high quality and complex texts to read aloud to my students during our zoom meetings and in afternoon videos will greatly enhance the virtual learning experience. My students have adjusted quite well to virtually teaching and learning, but still need direct instruction. These materials will help with instruction, and will be used effectively when we transition back to the physical classroom for literacy lessons.
