Camp Verde is a small rural district in Arizona with cowboy culture that is still filled with manners and country etiquette. It due to low funding though has very limited access to technology. I teach most of the incoming Freshman via Algebra class. I am looking for a set of Chromebooks so I can not only meet the individual math needs of my students but also prepare them for the digital world ahead. I plan on making use of the Chromebooks by creating within my math classes a "Freshman Academy" it will introduce these 9th graders to higher educational expectations, digital demands of higher education, tools available via Google and more as well as emphasize study habits, email etiquette and how to behave to meet the expectations of their educational/professional years ahead.
