In our kindergarten classroom, we learn not only how to read, but that books can take us on a magical journey. We belly laugh at the silly books, shed a tear for the sad ones, make predictions about mysteries and marvel at the pictures in nonfiction text. We learn together that books are, and always will be, an important part of our journey...no matter where we travel to in life. I strive to foster a love of both learning & reading within my kindergarten classroom. These books will serve as an important asset for my kindergarten reading instruction. Each book is accompanied with a specific set of engaging lesson plans, hands-on activities, leveled independent readers that students can take home to share, and so much more! By having these books in our classroom for students to touch and read, students will be given the opportunity firsthand to make real connections within a variety of new and unfamiliar texts. Each of these books will have a special part in our kindergarten year.
