My students are a wonderfully diverse group of kids. They are middle school students from low to middle income families. These students have parents who support them in their academic goals, but generally do not have the resources to buy extra school supplies. The students I teach are in general math classes and are working diligently to learn the mathematical principals. Class sizes at my school are from 32 to 37 students per class, so having 15 calculators will allow students to share in groups of 2 or 3 students per calculator.
