The main objective for all teachers is to ensure that all of their students feel comfortable within their classroom. As a first year teacher, it is my personal goal to ensure that each child feels as if there is a seat tailored specifically for their use. Through my personal experience, I have come to the realization that something that is as simple as a seat can assist in breaking down the mental and emotional barriers that a student may face in a new setting. As the new school year approaches, many of my students will face several new challenges. Although, through flexible seating options, my students will feel as if they can face in challenge, no matter how big or small.
