This pandemic has lead to many changes that even adults are having a difficult time dealing with, imagine what my students must be feeling. One day we were in our classroom together and then in a blink of an eye they were informed they would not be returning to school for 25 days. Well that 25 days has now turned into the remainder of the school year as well summer school.
My students deserve the BEST and with YOUR assistance I can provide exactly that for them. With your help I can obtain familiar items (including basic writing instruments and a place to store them) the students will be able to utilize at home and continue their educational endeavors during this trying time. My students learn BEST with a structured schedule, using the magnet post-it-note as well as the dry erase markers the students will be able to document their next individual session with me.
How wonderful, (with the use of technology) it will be for them to actually see the work on a dry-erase board and on chart paper just as if we were in our classroom together. The excitement they will express when they are able to complete their math assignments with familiar manipulatives (dominoes and dice) and not have to search for item in their house to utilize. The joy I will feel as I witness them creating sentences with their Reading Rod Kits and increasing their communication skills.
The joy on their faces when not only supplies for academics are delivered BUT to discover supplies to enhance their creativity. My students utilize Art supplies as a method to not only be creative BUT to release stress as well as to regroup. Doodling is a GREAT process to enhance education!!!
