I am a therapist in a small rural town in Southeast Missouri. My speech and language caseload is constantly changing. I work with students with a wide range of ability levels. I have high IQ students that have a little bit of articulation problems. I have low IQ students that are nonverbal and students that fall everywhere in between. I am constantly looking for new engaging materials that can be adapted to fit a variety of goals and ability levels. I have found many digital materials that work with interactive devices. Students love iPads and interactive devices help keep them engaged in the activities. IPads have interactive speech sounds apps. This makes drill practice for speech sounds fun and the data collection necessary easy. Language students can use BOOM cards and No Print Digital materials found on TPT on an iPad to learn and practice new vocabulary skills and sentence structure activities. Students that are nonverbal can use programs on an iPad that speak for them. These new activities keep students engaged and allow me to keep/organize my data collection on the iPad. Please help me fund a new iPad mini to use in my therapy sessions.
