Our school library needs updated books to replace worn out, dirty hardback books. Each year we participate in Read Across America (Dr. Seuss's birthday week). The classroom teachers as well as the librarian read lots of Dr. Seuss books. We have specific Dress Up Days to spotlight a book. Dr. Seuss books have always been and will continue to be an absolute favorite of children. The current books we have have torn and dirty pages with smudgy covers. Clean, new books will catch the attention of our students as they choose books to read. The more the students enjoy literature, the better readers they will be.
