I currently have two rugs in my classroom where my students like to sit and read, whether it be silent reading or reading with a partner. Having a double sided bookcase between these rugs would give my students the opportunity to find various books they like and sit on the rug without having to get up every time they need a new book. I can see this being used a lot with my higher level learners who finish early and need something to keep them busy or when we have a silent reading group during our reading intervention time. I'm so excited to see their response when they see all these books they can choose from as they learn how to read.
