Do you remember the chairs you used in third grade? Well, odds are very good that this year's third graders will be using those same chairs. Yes, those chairs can win 1st Place for durability, but they come in last place for comfort. Research about environmental design shows the positive effect comfort can have on learning, human productivity and creativity. I'd love my students to have these specially designed ergonomic chairs that give kids the comfort they need as they sit the way that suits them! They are designed with a flexible seat back and a unique steel frame that provides both spring and stability. Each molded chair allows children to sit forward and sideways. Extra bonus... they even bounce. I'm so excited that we'll be able to be in-person to start off the 2020-2021 school year. Although I won't be allowed to have my class gather around on the carpet, I'm looking forward to giving my students these chairs specially designed for their comfort.
