Gone are the days of paper and pencil work. Children these days communicate and learn with technology. Children are currently at home trying to learn and navigate their education on devices that they readily have available. When we do return to our buildings, we will be preparing our children to demonstrate knowledge by using technology devices. I can see my students using the iPads to demonstrate their knowledge of a math or literacy concept. I can see them listening to books being read to them. My students could build, write, draw something, and take a picture of it. They could then record their explanation. This could be saved and shared with the teacher or their family. This could also open the door for students who face learning challenges and need other ways to demonstrate their learning. This would provide them to be independent and not have to wait for the teacher before moving on to something else.
