These materials will make a difference by supplementing core curriculum for my first graders. Selected items will be used independently by students or in small learning groups. In order to grab attention and enhance learning, I have selected puzzles and other hands-on activities that are educational, durable, and fun for little minds. Students will be able to practice writing, reading and phonics skills, math, science, and social studies standards. This valuable learning can take place with me directly or with their peer groups. These items will be another tool in my teacher's kit for providing students with a well-rounded curriculum.
