I will be able to provide more diverse and entertaining assignments as students work from home. They will be able to apply what they are learning about choir AND piano by having a small instrument to transfer the knowledge to. The majority of my students have NO musical instruments in their home. Melodicas are a small, hand-held keyboards that require no batteries or power source and will allow students to: reinforce theory concepts, give themselves starting pitches, play their music, maintain spacial understanding of the keyboard, perfect rhythm passages, and have fun while making music! Music should be a fun, challenging, safe, and rewarding experience. Melodicas are a great option to get something in each students hands.
