My project, Wonders of Reading, was created to help give my students fun and interactive activities to help them in their areas of need. Over the course of this school year, my students have shown they need more help with vowels, CVC words, and sight words. We have center time in my classroom that allow my students to use interactive games to help them learn. The sight word games and books will be used to help my 1st-grade students with frequency. The phonics and CVC games will help all of my students practice letter sounds including beginning and ending sounds. I also have students that would benefit from the vowel practice. Most of my students need extra practice in the area of short vowels. The books and flashcards can also be sent home with my students to practice at home.
