Reading and discussing books, both fiction and nonfiction, comprise a large part of our second grade classroom. It is a literacy-filled room! The wooden case and the magnetic crates will display the special books we've enjoyed together, so the children can have easy access them to read on their own. Displaying books and having them handy encourages students to reread and enjoy the books again and again. Many students love reading books the teacher has read before. They know the words and story, so it's safe and fun. The more they read the better readers they will become!
