In our school we have a space that is currently not being used, this space is perfect for a sensory room. A room where individual students can use along with entire classes! The materials are perfect for a screen free brain break, where students can use gross motor, fine motor, and sensory exploration throughout their school day! Specifically, the Liquid Tile Mats, the colors are bold and contrasting and they change color patterns. These mats stimulate sensory exploration and perceptual development. Our students live in the cold Minnesota climate, this space will provide a spot for classes during the winter months, the Riverstones, Flex Ball seats, and Moon Balls will be greatly used for this purpose. The goal for the sensory room is to provide a space that is safe for emotion regulation, calming, and technology free.
