Kindergarten students have a wide range of skill levels, but they are all working towards the same goals. They enjoy books and they want to read! With this project we can use the materials to help students become more independent in their reading skills. Our classroom will benefit greatly from the addition of more book sets and materials for our listening and reading center. Books that our students have the capability to read and hold their interest is what our center is in need of! The I Can Read book set will be a great way to add books the students can read and will want to read in the center. The Lakeshore headphones will allow students to follow along auditorily with a text when that extra help is needed and will go a long way in increasing their reading confidence.
