No one is meant to sit in the same spot all day and we know kids do their best learning when given choice and the ability to move freely. Flexible seating has become very popular and that's because it's difficult to sit in one spot for a long period of time. Flexible seating gives the body movement without distraction. This project will provide my first graders ample choice in where and how they work. Sitting at a desk all day long is difficult for wiggly kids. Alternate options help keep them engaged in lessons that may be difficult. This also gives the body a break and the mind another view of the lesson. Students will be fully engaged and productive sitting on wobbly chairs, soft floor cushions or comfortable chairs.
