Understanding our self-talk and thinking process is essential to developing into a mature and healthy adult. Research shows that having a growth mindset vs. a fixed mindset can help any student preserve and achieve, regardless of their current academic standing. As a teacher, my job is to help build healthy people who can take on challenges with grace and fortitude. Implementing a hands-on, collaborative, and creative growth mindset curriculum is a step toward helping my students succeed academically, socially, and physically. Developing and supporting a healthy mindset sets the stage for all other learning to take place!
