Learning to Get Along and the Books All About Me will not only build social skills but also self-esteem. These would be a great addition to the classroom. Learning to Get Along will be presented each day during social skills along with an activity such a a craft. The journals will be used at the end of the week as a reflection of our gifts and accomplishments. The social stories will help students understand different scenarios and appropriate behaviors. Along with social skills is building confidence and exploring the positive aspects of ourselves. I believe that the journals will help students recognize their positive attributes and build confidence which will aid in social skills as well.
