For the past week, I have been instructing my sweet babies to come to the "carpet" for calendar math, lessons, circle time and center time. They have been sad that we don't have a carpet in our classroom any more. I would love for my students to have a cozy and inviting environment in which to learn since some of them have been displaced because their homes were ruined by the hurricane. They have witnessed so much destruction in our area. It would be encouraging for them to know that things can improve.
