My goal is to provide a learning environment that enriches my students' learning and where technology is accessible to my students when needed. As a supplement to daily instruction, I implement an online math program that allows me to determine my students' needs, personalize their learning, and monitor progress throughout the school year. During my instructional block, student use is limited due to time constraints and the number of devices available in my classroom. At this time there are only 3 working devices in a classroom of 21 students. I would like to be able to allow more students to use this beneficial math program. By having Amazon Fire tablets, my students will be able to focus on expanding their learning and build upon their basic foundational math skills. The donations to this project will help to improve my students’ mathematical skills as well as help to increase their academic achievement. My students will have more opportunities to practice and sharpen the three aspects of numerical proficiency: computation, number sense, and problem solving.
