Every student deserves a space where they can go on countless adventures without leaving the classroom. The 3-Tier Adjustable bookshelves will allow me enough space to house a variety of books to meet the interest level and reading level of all my students. Students will use this space during our Daily 5 center rotations. Where students spend several minutes completing various literacy activities. During the rotations, I spend time teaching reading skills to small groups of students to help them become better readers. While I give most of my focus to my small groups during this time; the rest of my class needs to be intrinsically motivated to keep working without much teacher direction. Giving students a comfortable place to explore new books will keep students engaged and improve their reading skills. By giving the rest of my students a comfortable place to read with flexible seating; my small groups of students will be able to focus on the reading skills they are needing to become fluent and confident readers.
