Help give my students the sewing class they deserve! The students need an updated sewing room with material and supplies. Unfortunately, some of my students are unable to afford and purchase sewing supplies for their projects. With COVID-19 in mind, I am trying to make sure each student has their own set of supplies that is theirs for the semester to limit any unnecessary sharing. Additionally, I am trying to have a back up project plan in place in case we are unable to meet in person for class. During the current pandemic, thousands of people and communities are coming together to sew their own masks for their safety, medical staff team members, school personnel, and other businesses. Sewing was considered a "dated" home hobby, but now it is shining its light on how important this life skill is! I would like to have a "sewing kit" made for each student that consists of a crochet hook, knitting needle set, yarn, shears, thread, hand sewing needles, and tape measure. With these notions - a lot of creative projects can happen!
