This is a collaborative visual arts and literacy project. While studying Greek Mythology in the regular classroom, students will also learn about Greek art in the art classroom. We will connect literacy and visual arts by creating a Greek vase that tells a story. Students will select a Greek character, explore their characteristics and traits and create a vase that depicts a scene of the character from a studied myth. These materials will provide the students with additional literature resources of Greek myths, history and art, as well as the art materials needed to create their vase.

About my class
