In the past, classrooms typically shared math tools during lessons. Two children would work with the same 20 Unifix Cubes or one child would roll the dice and then share it with another child. We can no longer do this due to COVID-19. Especially if we are all distance learning. This project would allow me to make Math Tool Kits for each one of my students. The unifix cubes and pony beads will help my Kinders learn counting and cardinality, the dice and the double-sided counters can be used for addition and subtraction games, and the wooden pattern blocks will help the children learn shapes, spatial awareness, and patterns. Each student will receive their own container of tools so germs are not spread if we are in class.
