These books will make a tremendous impact on my students' lives. They have recently found their love for reading and I want to continue to build on that. By having new books in the classroom, building lifelong readers is possible. When we get new books in the classroom, reading them is what my students prefer to do in their free time. They will choose this over any other free time choices. These are high-interest books for my students. I have noticed that when my students are able to look at a new book, they are less disruptive to the rest of the class. They want to read with a buddy or share with the class what that just read. These new books would help my students' love for reading continue to grow.
