Being a new first grade teacher, I don't have a ton of age- appropriate items to fill a classroom. With that being said, these materials will be used to establish a warm, positive environment. The variety of books will be read to the students during our 'growth mindset' lessons, where we talk about being a kind, compassionate, and well-rounded student. The other items will help me implement the classroom management piece, flexible seating to meet my students individual needs, as well as organizational items and art supplies that will be used throughout the year.
