In first grade, we focus on organization and becoming independent. Students spent a year of distance learning so really need to learn what organization looks like for themselves and their teacher in the classroom. A durable seat pocket will stand the test of time with these firsties. They need this and their teacher needs it to last! Students will put their folder (done and not done side) and their whiteboard in there for easy access. This saves time of going around the room or in their desk searching for papers and materials.
