These books will help my students progress through and enhance their reading comprehension skills. These books will be used both at home and in the classroom. The students will be using these books for summarizing verbally and in writing as part of their homework practice. I will be using these books in conjunction with our accelerated reading program which is designed to progressively encourage and reward students to move up in their reading and comprehension levels. This is my first year teaching third grade, and I'm looking forward to guiding my students to grade level and beyond grade level.
