Imagine what it would be like not to be able to see or hear, or to have very limited vision and hearing. How would you know what was going on around you? You would have to touch things in order to know about them. You would have to use your hands. Your hands and your feet would have to be your eyes for you. They would give you access to the world. These materials are going to help these students access their environment! By using the Ablenet Bluetooth switch our students with limited mobility will be able to access the ipad and other materials independently and not rely an adult. They will be able to access the powerlink by controlling different things in their environment that they were never able to control before. All of the sensory items are exactly what these students need on a daily basis to experience by touch. We need to set up the environment by adding items to encourage children to explore through their sense of touch.
