The time spent for independent help is a daily activity in my classroom, especially in math and reading. Using guided reading and guided math, students come to a small table for independent help. This table is a standard table and I try to fit 5 students at a time. Having a kidney table will allow me to see exactly what they are doing, as well as provide immediate feedback. What will benefit our students most is a comfortable, spacious area to truly focus on what is being taught. Students will be able to concentrate on the academic material at hand, and not bump into their arm while working or be distracted. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement. Comfortable seating allows students to take charge of their learning and make the choices that work best for them. I chose these items because having a space where I can pinpoint and fill in learning gaps as well as extend learning, is detrimental.
