I love sharing my love of reading and learning with my students. In my grad school work, I have had the opportunity to research and learn about literature circles. This is something I would like to begin implementing in my classroom. There are so many benefits to students working in these circles. In these literature circles, students have the opportunity to choose their own books to read, read independently, then share ideas, thoughts, and process their comprehension. That is why I have selected so many diverse book sets. Students also have the opportunity to write during this time. This has shown to dramatically improve reading scores, comprehension, collaboration, and communication skills.

About my class
