My students are kindergarteners with a lot of energy and find it difficult to stay still for any length of time. I have an inclusion classroom and it is important for my students to be able to move around throughout the day without disturbing the entire class. The flexible seating balls and wiggle cushions will give my kids that help they need to focus for longer periods of time. Because books can become an important part of who we are, I want my kids to have a special place to store the books they have specifically chosen to read. My hope is that this will help give them a sense of ownership in their choices. In addition, our classroom exits to a secure courtyard and having their books contained will help protect the books.
