As schools have closed and students and teachers are adjusting to learning remotely, we've been discovering technology tools and platforms that make learning easier. My classes have been using a program called NearPod. NearPod allows us to create full lessons, all in one place where they can watch videos, record audio responses, go on virtual field trips, play games, practice writing, read articles, and take comprehensive, differentiated assessments. In sixth and seventh grades, kids are still learning organizational skills and online learning has added a whole host of new challenges. NearPod helps them keep all of their classwork together for easy access. Upgraded access to NearPod will give us extra storage so we can keep learning, detailed student reports so students can get instant feedback and I can tell exactly what students need help with. With NearPod, we can eliminate unnecessary stress and confusion and help students feel empowered to learn!
