In order to improve students' vocabulary, fluency, and overall reading comprehension, they need to have access to age-appropriate leveled books. By building a classroom library with texts that reach different reading levels and a variety of interests, I can encourage my first grade students to read more often. I want students to have a classroom library filled with books that are appropriate for their individual reading level. By providing additional books to my classroom library, I can encourage students to read more often. With new books for my classroom library, my students could become engaged in their own learning.
