The Cricut and other items on this list will allow us to teach purposeful authentic lessons within the constraints of Covid restrictions. This will allow us to make quality individual learning kits for each student. A Cricut allows for the creation of materials instead of purchasing pre-made, individual items which can be more costly in the long run.
The amount of materials needed for each child to be successful in both Math and ELA are vast. For instance, each student will require two sets of number and letter cards. One set would need to be kept at school and another set would be needed for remote learning days. To purchase those items separately it would cost, on the cheaper end, $140. These are just two, of the many items that the children will need multiple sets of. The Cricut would allow us to create these items instead. Therefore, cutting the cost overall.
Due to the unknown of Covid and how education may change over these next few years, the Cricut and the materials that go with it, will be able to positively impact this years students, as well as numerous students for years to come. With your help we can educate and enrich the lives of children through creative methods.
