This is a very difficult time for both teachers and students. Teachers have to change face-to-face lessons into online lessons and teachers have to be able to use this technology with little training. To have the opportunity to do something new and using technology, can grab the attention of the students and this can lead new student adventures. Without the appropriate training and tools, students, as well as teachers, can fall behind rapidly. For that reason, I am requesting a laptop to have for planning, training and implementing virtual lessons for the science classroom, as well as for the students at home. Having a laptop available can be used in the classroom to engage student and facilitate exciting, engaging and interesting lessons. At the moment, preparing lessons is very difficult. I do not have the technology to create lessons and attend webinars to help me deliver online teaching. A laptop to use at home will enable me to create virtual lessons and have students view and participate on these lessons. Many of the material the students view are entirely in English, making it difficult for some students to understand. Using a laptop will enable me to make videos in English and Spanish so they will understand. When this stress is over, the students themselves will be able to use the laptop to create exciting and interesting activities themselves.
