By having mp3 players, my students will be able to listen to stories during their Daily 5 time. I will pre-record stories that students can then listen to independently as part of their Daily 5 rotations. It is important for students to listen to a fluent reader so they can become more fluent themselves. We would also benefit from privacy shields where students will be able to have their own space to focus when taking assessments. It will eliminate distractions around them. Small group instruction is essential in the classroom so students need to be able to work independently during that time. The rolling carts will help them do this because it will house all of their Daily 5 materials. Along with small group instruction is whole class instruction where we will need materials to up our engagement. The white board paddles will do just that by giving students an opportunity to show what they know while in a whole group format. By each student having their own white board, it allows them to stay engaged. I am so excited to use all these materials with my students!
