With school closures, many students are not receiving the full support they need. This results in many students falling behind. Guided reading is a proven way to help students become successful readers. These items will help provide successful, organized guided reading lessons to build students into strong readers. I meet with each group daily. Some groups are done in the classroom around a small circle table. The chairs in the classroom do not fit around the tables very well, leaving students uncomfortable and worrying about touching the person next to them instead of the lesson. The stools will provide each student more room around the table, so that each child can give their full attention. Other groups are done in the computer lab, meaning we have to tote materials. These items will help make that transition easier. It will keep the materials in order and no time will be wasted sorting through materials. My students really love working in the reading groups. They ask to read with me constantly throughout the day. Please help us be able to make the most out of our groups and become better readers!
